Claims21
-38. (canceled)
A tobacco plant, or part thereof, comprising a non-naturally occurring mutant allele of an endogenous QUINOLINATE PHOSPHORIBOSYL TRANSFERASE (QPT) 2a gene, the endogenous QPT2a gene comprising SEQ ID NO:
- 7, wherein the non-naturally occurring mutant allele comprises a deletion as compared to the endogenous QPT2a gene, and wherein the deletion consists of either a deletion of nucleotide positions 264 to 274 as compared to SEQ ID NO:
- 7 or a deletion of nucleotide positions 268 to 274 as compared to SEQ ID NO:
- 7.
A tobacco plant, or part thereof, comprising a non-naturally occurring mutant allele of an endogenous QPT2b gene, the endogenous QPT2b gene comprising SEQ ID NO:
- 8, wherein the non-naturally occurring mutant allele comprises a deletion as compared to the endogenous QPT2b gene, and wherein the second deletion consists of a deletion of nucleotide positions 269 to 276 as compared to SEQ ID NO:
- 8.
