Electronic device and power supply method using same

A method for supplying power to an electronic device, the method comprising:

• identifying whether a charging device is in a closed state using a sensor module of the electronic device, in a state in which the electronic device is mounted on the charging device;
• based on identifying that the charging device is maintained in the closed state for a set time, starting a low power process;
• identifying whether information related to pairing with at least one external electronic device is present in a memory of the electronic device;
• based on identifying that the information related to pairing is not present in the memory, blocking power from being supplied by the charging device to the electronic device;
• and
• entering a first low power mode in which power is not supplied to an internal circuit of the electronic device.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing one or more instructions, the one or more instructions when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:

• identify whether a charging device is in a closed state using a sensor module of the electronic device, in a state in which the electronic device is mounted on the charging device;
• based on identifying that the charging device is maintained in the closed state for a set time, start a low power process;
• identify whether information related to pairing with at least one external electronic device is present in a memory of the electronic device;
• based on identifying that the information related to pairing is not present in the memory, block power from being supplied by the charging device to the electronic device;
• and
• enter a first low power mode in which power is not supplied to an internal circuit of the electronic device.
