Systems and methods for latency optimization for cloud applications

A client device comprising one or more processors and memory, and an agent, the agent of the client device configured to:

• monitor time intervals between transmission of an application communicating audio/video (A/V) data from one or more servers and reception of the A/V data at the client device;
• establish, responsive to monitoring, a threshold for the time intervals;
• determine, responsive to monitoring, a deviation of the time intervals between video data of the A/V data and audio data of the A/V data;
• and
• adjust, responsive to the deviation, the threshold and one or more quality-of-service (QoS) attributes for communicating the A/V data from the one or more servers to the client device.

A device comprising one or more processors and memory, an agent, the agent of the device configured to:

• monitor time intervals between transmission of an application communicating audio/video (A/V) data from one or more servers and reception of the A/V data at a client device;
• obtain, responsive to monitoring, a criterion for the time intervals;
• determine, responsive to monitoring, one or more of the time intervals does not satisfy the criterion;
• and
• adjust, responsive to the determination, at least one parameter of at least one of an audio decoder or a video decoder for communicating the A/V data from the one or more servers to the client device.
