Communication method and apparatus

A communication method, comprising:

• receiving, by a data repository network element, an authorization message, wherein the authorization message indicates that a model training function network element is allowed to obtain data related to a model, and the authorization message comprises an identifier of the model training function network element and an index of the data;
• receiving, by the data repository network element, a data request from the model training function network element, wherein the data request is for requesting the data;
• and
• sending, by the data repository network element, the data to the model training function network element when the model training function network element is allowed to obtain the data related to the model.

A communication apparatus, comprising:

• a transceiver;
• at least one processor;
• and
• one or more memories coupled to the at least one processor and storing programming instructions for execution by the at least one processor to cause the communication apparatus to:
• send a subscription message to a model training function network element, wherein the subscription message is for requesting a model;
• and
• send an authorization message to a data repository network element, wherein the authorization message indicates that the model training function network element is allowed to obtain data related to the model, and the authorization message comprises an identifier of the model training function network element and an index of the data.
