Abstract
The present disclosure generally relates to materials, processes, generators, and/or systems, for generating radioisotope. The present disclosure also generally relates to ceramic materials comprising radioisotope suitable for use in a radioisotope generator. The present disclosure also generally relates to processes, generators and/or systems, for producing and capturing radioisotope. The present disclosure also generally relates to the preparation of radioisotope solutions for use in radiopharmacy and/or other clinical applications.
Claims13
A substrate for a radioisotope generator, the substrate comprising:
- a disk-shaped metal substrate having substantially planar surface;
- and
- an inert ceramic substrate disposed on the substantially planar surface,
- wherein the inert ceramic substrate has a Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area of less than about 200 m2/g when measured using standard ASTM C1274.
The substrate of claim, wherein the roughened surface has a peak count of less than 18 peaks/mm.
The substrate of claim, wherein the roughened surface comprises a texture having angular patterns.
The substrate of claim, wherein the roughened surface has a surface roughness between about 5 m and about 150 km.
The substrate of claim, wherein the parent radioisotope is 228Th (thorium-228).
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
