Electronic wind instrument, pitch switching method, and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium

A pitch switching method executed by an electronic wind instrument comprising a first air inlet into which a performer's exhaled air is blown and a second air inlet provided in proximity to the first air inlet and into which the performer's exhaled air is blown, the pitch switching method comprising:

• calculating an intensity index value corresponding to a first exhaled air intensity based on an intensity of the exhaled air blown into the first air inlet and a second exhaled air intensity based on an intensity of the exhaled air blown into the second air inlet;
• and
• starting sounding of a musical sound based on an other pitch that is a pitch different from a key pitch in a case where the intensity index value calculated is equal to or greater than a first pitch change threshold, wherein the key pitch is a pitch corresponding to an operation on an operator.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium recording a pitch switching program causing a computer to execute a pitch switching processing of switching a pitch of a musical sound to be sounded, the pitch switching program causing the computer to execute:

• calculating an intensity index value corresponding to a first exhaled air intensity based on an intensity of exhaled air blown into a first air inlet and a second exhaled air intensity based on an intensity of exhaled air blown into a second air inlet provided in proximity to the first air inlet;
• and
• starting sounding of a musical sound based on an other pitch that is a pitch different from a key pitch in a case where the intensity index value calculated is equal to or greater than a first pitch change threshold, wherein the key pitch is a pitch corresponding to an operation on an operator.
