Method and system for rating vendor and product cybersecurity

A computer-implemented method for rating the cybersecurity of vendors and products, the method comprising:

• loading, via the processor, from a data storage, a network communication, or via a user entry through a user interface, at least one input data from at least one data source pertaining to vendor or product cybersecurity;
• selecting, via the processor, at least one sub-rating calculation template from a preconfigured set of sub-rating calculation templates corresponding to the input data;
• calculating, via the processor, at least one vendor or product sub-rating score, by applying at least one sub-rating calculation template to the at least one input data;
• generating, via the processor, at least one vendor or product primary rating score, by applying at least one aggregation template to the at least one vendor or product sub-rating score;
• storing, via the processor, in a memory storage, the at least one vendor or product primary rating score, the at least one vendor or product sub-rating score, and the input data;
• ranking, via the processor, the at least one vendor or product primary rating score among at least one other vendor or product primary rating score using at least one ranking strategy;
• distributing, via a computer network, at least one vendor or product rating result to at least one data sink, or displaying, via the processor, the at least one vendor or product rating result in a user interface.
