Display Apparatus

A display apparatus configured to allow a user to see a virtual image, comprising:

• a wearable object to be worn on a head of a user;
• a display unit provided on the wearable object to display an original image that is an image as an original of the virtual image;
• an imaging unit configured to capture an image of a hand of the user and output image data of the captured image;
• a detection unit configured to detect motion of the hand of the user using the image data obtained by the imaging unit and output information related to the motion of the hand;
• and a display control unit configured to control display of the virtual image by controlling the display unit,
• wherein the display control unit is configured to:
• control the display unit to control display of a two-dimensional virtual object for operation that is used for the user to indicate operation details with the hand and a virtual object of a hand that is modeled after the hand, as elements of the virtual image;
• and
• control display of the virtual object of the hand such that the virtual object of hand moves on a same plane as the two-dimensional virtual object for operation in response to the motion of the hand, based on the information related to the motion of the hand transmitted from the detection unit.
