Abstract
An ultrasonic flowmeter for measuring a flow of fluid through a channel includes a flowmeter body, and two or more ultrasonic transducers attached to the flowmeter body. The two or more ultrasonic transducers emit an ultrasonic pulse into the channel and receive an ultrasonic pulse in the channel and are arranged at a distance from each other in flow direction, when the flowmeter body is fixed to the channel. One or more ultrasonic transducer of the two or more ultrasonic transducers is attached to the flowmeter body by an acoustic decoupling element.
Claims16
An ultrasonic flowmeter for measuring a flow of fluid through a channel, the ultrasonic flowmeter comprising
- a flowmeter body, and
- at least two ultrasonic transducers attached to the flowmeter body,
- the at least two ultrasonic transducers being configured to emit an ultrasonic pulse into the channel and to receive an ultrasonic pulse in the channel, and
- the at least two ultrasonic transducers being arranged at a distance from each other in flow direction, when the flowmeter body is fixed to the channel,
- wherein at least one ultrasonic transducer of the at least two ultrasonic transducers is attached to the flowmeter body by an acoustic decoupling element.
