Abstract

The present disclosure discloses a gas water heating device and a control method thereof, relating to the field of water heating devices. The gas water heating device comprises a combustion device, which comprises a first group of burners and a second group of burners that can be independently started and stopped; the control method of the gas water heating device comprising: when a first preset condition is met, controlling the first group of burners to start combustion, and controlling the second group of burners to be in an off state; and when the first preset condition is met subsequently, controlling the second group of burners to start combustion and controlling the first group of burners to be in an off state; or controlling the second group of burners to start combustion and controlling the first group of burners to be in an off state after the first group of burners are started for a first preset number of times. The present disclosure can solve the problem that a local area of a heat exchanger is prone to failure due to long-term heating, thereby prolonging the service life of the heat exchanger.
