Abstract
A wall connection system is disclosed, which includes a horizontal building frame component with a first vertical face that has a first slot. The system further includes a prefabricated wall structure with a plurality of parallel studs and an elongate member connect to each stud. The elongate member has a second vertical face with a second slot and is parallel to the first vertical face. The long axis of the first slot is perpendicular to the long axis of the second slot. A fastener assembly connects the horizontal building frame component to the wall structure, through the slots.

A wall connection system, comprising:
- a horizontal building frame component;
- a first modular wall panel and an adjacent second modular wall panel, each including:
- a plurality of at least three parallel studs defining a primary wall plane,
- a strongback structure connected orthogonally to each of the plurality of studs, and
- a fastener assembly connecting the strongback structure to the horizontal building frame component;
- an upper bridging plate in contact with an upper surface of the strongback structures of the first and second wall panels;
- a lower bridging plate in contact with a lower surface of the strongback structures of the first and second wall panels;
- and
- a plurality of fastener assemblies, each extending through the upper bridging plate, the lower bridging plate, and strongback structure of one of the first and second wall panels;
- wherein the strongback structures of the first and second wall panels have abutting adjacent ends.
