Abstract
Processes for making sanitary tissue products of the present disclosure may comprise re-slushing pulp comprising non-wood fibers prior to sending the pulp to a headbox; forming a web comprising the non-wood fibers; and forming a sanitary tissue product exhibiting a Formation Index of less than about 65.
Claims20
A process for making a sanitary tissue product, comprising the following steps:
- reslushing pulp comprising non-wood fibers prior to sending the pulp to a headbox;
- forming a through-air-dried (TAD) web comprising at least about 5% by weight of the non-wood fibers;
- and
- forming the sanitary tissue product comprising the TAD web, wherein the sanitary tissue product exhibits a Formation Index of less than about 65.
A process for making a sanitary tissue product, comprising the following steps:
- reslushing pulp comprising non-wood fibers prior to sending the pulp to a headbox;
- forming a through-air-dried (TAD) web comprising at least about 7.5% by weight of the non-wood fibers;
- and
- forming the sanitary tissue product comprising the TAD web, wherein the sanitary tissue product exhibits a TS7 of less than about 14 dB V2 rms.
A process for making a structured sanitary tissue product, comprising the following steps:
- reslushing pulp comprising non-wood fibers prior to sending the pulp to a headbox;
- forming a through-air-dried (TAD) web comprising at least about 10% by weight of the non-wood fibers;
- and
- forming the sanitary tissue product comprising the TAD web, wherein the sanitary tissue product exhibits a slip-stick value of less than about 605.
A process for making a sanitary tissue product, comprising the following steps:
- reslushing pulp comprising non-wood fibers prior to sending the pulp to a headbox;
- forming a through-air-dried (TAD) web comprising at least about 5% by weight of the non-wood fibers;
- and
- forming the sanitary tissue product comprising the TAD web, wherein the sanitary tissue product exhibits a lint value is less than about 11.
A process for making a sanitary tissue product, comprising the following steps:
- reslushing pulp comprising non-wood fibers prior to sending the pulp to a headbox;
- forming a through-air-dried (TAD) web comprising at least about 5% by weight of the non-wood fibers;
- forming the sanitary tissue product comprising the TAD web;
- and
- wherein the non-wood fibers comprise a fiber length (L(l)) of greater than about 1 mm and less than about 3 mm.
A process for making a sanitary tissue product, comprising the following steps:
- reslushing pulp comprising non-wood fibers prior to sending the pulp to a headbox;
- forming a through-air-dried (TAD) web comprising at least about 5% by weight of the non-wood fibers;
- forming the sanitary tissue product comprising the TAD web;
- and
- wherein the TAD web comprises a coverage of greater than 7.5 fiber layers.
A process for making a sanitary tissue product, comprising the following steps:
- reslushing pulp comprising non-wood fibers prior to sending the pulp to a headbox;
- depositing the pulp onto a first belt at a first velocity (V1) and transferring the pulp to a second belt at a second velocity (V2), wherein V2 is slower than V1;
- forming a through-air-dried (TAD) web comprising at least about 5% by weight of the non-wood fibers;
- and
- forming the sanitary tissue product comprising the TAD web.
