Abstract
The present invention relates to engineered cells expressing a fusion protein comprising a peptide fusion inhibitor and a CXCR4 protein that lacks signaling activity. Also provided are methods of suppressing, inhibiting, preventing or treating a HIV infection in a subject in need thereof using the engineered cells.
Claims20
A fusion protein comprising a peptide fusion inhibitor and a CXCR4 protein, wherein the CXCR4 protein comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 1 with the proviso that the CXCR4 protein further comprises at least one amino acid substitution which decreases signaling activity of the CXCR4 protein relative to signaling activity of a wildtype CXCR4 protein comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 1.
The cell of claim 14, wherein the antigen binding domain comprises CD4 or a fragment thereof.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
