The present invention relates to polymer compounds containing hemp and methods for producing such polymer compounds. More specifically, the invention relates to such hemp-containing polymer compounds containing one or more property-enhancing additives.

A hemp-based plastic composition comprising 10%-40% particulate hemp material combined with a thermoplastic polymeric material and at least one additive selected to confer or enhance a property of the plastic.
