Abstract
A composition including a granular fertilizer for application to an environment, a urease inhibitor, a nitrification inhibitor, carboxylated polymer, along with a food source of microbial life. In some exemplary embodiments, the composition can further include a water-insoluble physical coating that slows the release of the granular fertilizer into the environment after application. Additionally, a secondary coating can be applied wherein the secondary coating can include one or more alternating layers of an isocyanate and a polyol.
Claims20
A fertilizer composition for application to an environment, comprising:
- a fertilizer base component including one or more of the following:
- nitrogen, phosphate, potassium;
- a urease inhibitor;
- a nitrification inhibitor;
- and
- a nutrient up-take component.
A fertilizer composition for application to an environment, comprising:
- a fertilizer base component including one or more of the following:
- nitrogen, phosphate, potassium, wherein the fertilizer base component of the composition comprises between 65-99.3% by weight of the composition.
- a urease inhibitor comprises between 0.001-5% by weight of the fertilizer composition.
- a nitrification inhibitor comprises between 0.001-5% by weight of the fertilizer composition;
- and
- a nutrient up-take component comprises between 0.001-5% by weight of the fertilizer composition;
- and
- one or more soil microbe health enhancers, wherein the microbial health enhancers can comprises between 0.001-5% by weight of the fertilizer, wherein all the fertilizer base component, urease inhibitor, nitrification inhibitor, nutrient up-take inhibitor, and soil microbe health enhancer are combined together to form an infused enhanced fertilizer granule.
The fertilizer composition of claim 20, wherein the enhanced fertilizer granule further comprises a coating, wherein said coating comprises between 0.5-15% by weight of the fertilizer composition, wherein said coating comprises a first coating layer and a second coating layer, wherein the first coating layer comprises isocyanate and the second secondary coating layer comprises polyol resins.
