A carbon dioxide recovery system includes: an iron-making facility; a gas turbine that drives a turbine with a combustion gas generated by combusting a first gas discharged from the iron-making facility; a heat exchanger that exchanges heat between a second gas discharged from the turbine of the gas turbine and a heat medium; and a carbon dioxide recovery device that recovers carbon dioxide from the second gas that has exchanged heat with the heat medium. The carbon dioxide recovery device includes: an absorption tower that causes carbon dioxide to be absorbed in an absorption liquid by bringing the second gas and the absorption liquid into contact, a regeneration tower that heats the absorption liquid to release the carbon dioxide, and a reboiler that heats the absorption liquid by exchanging heat between the absorption liquid and the heat medium that has exchanged heat with the second gas in the heat exchanger.
