Abstract
An electronic dice shaker device includes a housing defining an interior cavity, the housing including a transparent window between the interior cavity and an exterior of the housing. The electronic dice shaker device further includes a sensor that detects, in response to an electronic die coming to rest in the interior cavity, a visible face of the electronic die. The electronic dice shaker device further includes a first communication interface that, in response to detection of the visible face of the electronic die, provides an indication of the visible face of the electronic die to a gaming device.
Claims20
A dice shaker device comprising:
- a housing defining an interior cavity, the interior cavity being shielded to inhibit radio frequency (RF) communication between the interior cavity and an exterior of the housing;
- a sensor to detect a die result of a physical die roll of a die in the housing;
- and
- a first communication interface that, in response to detection of the die result, transmits an indication of the die result to a gaming device.
A gaming device comprising:
- a gaming device housing;
- a processor circuit;
- a memory comprising machine-readable instructions;
- and
- an dice shaker device coupled to the gaming device housing, the dice shaker device comprising:
- a shaker device housing defining an interior cavity;
- a sensor that detects a die result of a physical die roll of a die in the shaker device housing;
- and
- a housing communication interface that, in response to detection of the die result, transmits an indication of the die result to the processor circuit.
A method comprising:
- detecting, by a sensor, a shaking movement of a housing of a dice shaker device, and a subsequent lack of movement of the housing of the dice shaker device;
- detecting, by a sensor of the dice shaker device, a die result of a physical die roll of a die in the housing;
- and
- transmitting, by the dice shaker device, an indication of the die result to a gaming device associated with the dice shaker device.
