Lightweight golf bag with a top cuff actuator mechanism

A golf bag comprising:

• a top cuff;
• a foot;
• a bag body extending between the top cuff and the foot, the bag body having a front side, a back side, a player side, and a non-player side;
• a leg having a collapsed state and an expanded state, wherein the leg contacts the player side of the bag body when in the collapsed state;
• and
• a floating hip pad, wherein the floating hip pad comprises:
• a first portion protruding outwardly from the player side of the bag body;
• and
• a second portion extending substantially parallel to the player side of the bag body, wherein the second portion covers a portion of the leg when the leg is in the collapsed state.

A golf bag comprising:

• a top cuff;
• a foot;
• a bag body extending between the top cuff and the foot, the bag body having a front side, a back side, a player side, and a non-player side;
• a leg having a collapsed state and an expanded state, wherein the leg contacts the player side of the bag body when in the collapsed state;
• and
• a floating hip pad positioned on the player side of the bag body, wherein the floating hip pad comprises a spacer that provides a landing zone for the leg when the leg is in the collapsed state, wherein the spacer has a thickness that is greater than a diameter of the leg.

A golf bag comprising:

• a top cuff;
• a foot;
• a bag body extending between the top cuff and the foot, the bag body having a front side, a back side, a player side, and a non-player side;
• a leg having a collapsed state and an expanded state, wherein the leg contacts the player side of the bag body when in the collapsed state;
• and
• a floating hip pad, wherein the floating hip pad comprises:
• a first portion protruding outwardly from the player side of the bag body;
• a second portion extending substantially parallel to the player side of the bag body, wherein:
• the second portion covers a portion of the leg when the leg is in the collapsed state;
• and
• a dividing line between the first portion and the second portion extends substantially parallel to the leg when the leg is in the collapsed state.
