Abstract
Provided are an acid-resistant gardenia blue colorant preparation and an acid-resistant gardenia blue colorant preparation that are inhibited from foaming. Provided is an acid-resistant gardenia blue colorant preparation comprising (A) gardenia blue colorant and (B) at least one member selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol alginate, carboxymethyl cellulose, salts of carboxymethyl cellulose, and soybean polysaccharides, in which the proportion of each component (B) per color value of 30 of the gardenia blue colorant is as follows: (1) propylene glycol alginate: 0.2 to 3 mass %; (2) carboxymethyl cellulose: 0.5 to 2 mass %; and (3) soybean polysaccharides: 5 to 20 mass %.

An acid-resistant gardenia blue preparation comprising:
- (A) gardenia blue colorant;
- and
- (B) propylene glycol alginate, Wherein a proportion of the component (B) per color value of 30 of the gardenia blue colorant is:
- in a range from 0.2 to 3 mass %.

A method for imparting acid resistance to gardenia blue colorant to inhibit aggregation under acidic conditions, the method comprising
- allowing (A) gardenia blue colorant to be present with (B) propylene glycol alginate.
A method for inhibiting foaming of a colored composition in form of a solution comprising component (A) and component (B), the method comprising:
- allowing component (C) to be present together in the solution with component (A) and component (B),
- wherein the component (A), the component (B), and the component (C) are:
- (A):
- gardenia blue colorant;
- (B):
- propylene glycol alginate;
- and
- (C):
- at least one member selected from the group consisting of lecithin and medium-chain fatty acid oils,
- respectively.
A method for preparing a colored composition in form of a solution comprising component (A) and component (B), the method inhibiting foaming of the colored composition, maintaining acid resistance of the colored composition, and providing the colored composition with clarity,
- the method comprising:
- allowing component (C) to be present together in the solution with the component (A) and the component (B),
- wherein the component (A), the component (B), and the component (C) are:
- (A):
- gardenia blue colorant;
- (B):
- propylene glycol alginate;
- and
- (C):
- at least one member selected from the group consisting of lecithin and medium-chain fatty acid oils,
- respectively.
