Abstract

A method for producing a filled biscuit includes the steps of providing a biscuit body and advancing the biscuit body along a feed path (K), and dispensing at least one filling layer onto the biscuit body. Dispensing the filling layer includes an extrusion operation performed with an extrusion head comprising an extrusion slot. The filling is extruded through the extrusion slot in the form of a layer having a predetermined width and thickness and is deposited onto the biscuit body while the latter moves relative to the extrusion head along the feed path (K). Optionally, a second biscuit body is provided and disposed on the at least one filling layer with the at least one filling layer interposed between the first biscuit body and the second biscuit body.
