Electrical feedthrough assembly

An electrical feedthrough assembly (1), comprising a base body (10) configured for attachment to a housing and comprising at least one electrical feedthrough (2), each electrical feedthrough (2) comprising an opening (14) in the base body (10) for a conductor (12) which is fed through the opening (14) and embedded in a fixation material (16) which seals the opening (14) of the electrical feedthrough (2), wherein the electrical feedthrough assembly (1) further comprises an insulation element (20, 20′) made from a natural or synthetic rubber or silicone rubber being affixed to the base body (10) by an electrically insulating adhesive material (40),

• wherein the insulation element (20, 20′) comprises an insulation section (22),
• wherein each electrical feedthrough (2) has an assigned insulation section (22), each insulation section (22) having a conductor opening (24) having an inner wall (25), wherein the respective conductor (12) is fed through the conductor opening (24), and
• wherein the insulation element (20, 20′) being configured and arranged such that between the insulation section (22) and the conductor (12) and the fixation material (16) a cavity (23) extending along the conductor (12) is formed,
• wherein,
• the cavity (23) is at least partially filled with the adhesive material (40) for affixing the insulation section (22), and the cavity serves as a confinement for the adhesive material (40),
• between the inner wall (25) of the conductor opening (24) and a surface of the conductor (12) a gap (27′) is formed allowing access from the cavity (23) to the environment,
• wherein the gap (27′) is in form of a groove (27) provided in the inner wall (25) of the conductor opening (24),
• wherein the conductor opening (24) of the insulation section (22), through which the conductor (12) is fed, has a cylindrical section and the inner wall (25) of the cylindrical section of the conductor opening (24) outside the at least one groove (27) touches the respective conductor surface.
