A polymer, an electrode plate, and an associated battery cell, battery, and electrical device. The polymer includes a fluoropolymer. The fluoropolymer has a crystallinity of XC % as measured by differential scanning calorimetry where 0<XC≤30; and the fluoropolymer has a melting temperature of Tm, in ° C. where 0<Tm≤140.

A polymer for use in a battery cell, comprising a fluoropolymer, wherein:
- a crystallinity XC % of the fluoropolymer as measured by differential scanning calorimetry satisfies 0<XC≤30;
- and
- a melting temperature Tm, in ° C., of the fluoropolymer satisfies 0<Tm≤140.
