Some pressure relief valves (PRVs) may support reduction of acoustic induced vibration (AIV) and noise levels. For example, a PRV may include a flow splitting chamber that includes multiple first orifices that split a flow of fluid through a nozzle of the PRV, such that both a first level of AIV and a first level of noise associated with the multiple flows are less than a second level of AIV and a second level of noise, respectively, associated with the single flow. Additionally, or alternatively, the PRV may include multiple staged plates, each including one or more second orifices, such that both a third level of AIV and a third level of noise associated with the multiple pressure drops are less than a fourth level of AIV and a fourth level of noise, respectively, associated with a single pressure drop across the outlet chamber.
