Abstract

A locking mechanism adapter for a cylinder lock, the cylinder lock having a cylinder lock housing having a first bore for receiving a first rotatable lock driving member for rotation within the first bore and a locking cam which is driveable rotatably by the first rotatable lock driving member to operate a locking mechanism on rotation of the locking cam, the locking cam being received in a recess of the cylinder lock housing, the cylinder lock further having a drive bar extending from the cylinder lock housing, the drive bar being driveable rotatably by the first rotatable lock driving member, the drive bar having a distal end directed away from the cylinder lock housing, the locking mechanism adapter comprising a sleeve configured to be received over the distal end of the drive bar, the sleeve being configured to be driveable rotatably by the drive bar.
