Abstract
The present invention relates to a binder comprising polymerizable photoinitiators and multifunctional (meth)acrylates, to a process for preparing the binder, to a polymerizable composition comprising the binder. The invention also relates to different uses of the binder or polymerizable composition.
Claims20
A binder comprising a mixture M1 of compounds of formula (1) and a mixture M2 of compounds of formula (2):
- wherein
- Q is a photoreactive linker;
- X is a non-photoreactive linker;
- each R is independently H or methyl;
- a′ ranges from 0 to 8;
- b′ ranges from 0 to 8;
- c′ ranges from 0 to 16;
- d′ ranges from 0 to 16;
- a′+b′=e′;
- c′+d′=f′;
- e′=2 to 8;
- and
- f′=2 to 16;
- with the proviso that the composition comprises:
- a compound 1a of formula (1) with a′ is 0;
- at least one compound 1b of formula (1) with a′ and b′ are not 0:
- optionally a compound 1c of formula (1) with b′ is 0;
- optionally a compound 2a of formula (2) with c′ is 0;
- at least one compound 2b of formula (2) with c′ and d′ are not 0;
- optionally a compound 2c of formula (2) with d′ is 0.
A process for preparing a binder, the process comprising reacting at least one polyhydroxylated photoinitiator of formula (3) with at least one a multifunctional (meth)acrylate of formula (4), optionally in the presence of a transesterification catalyst, in order to transfer at least part of the (meth)acryloyl groups of the multifunctional (meth)acrylate of formula (4) on at least part of the hydroxy groups of the polyhydroxylated photoinitiator of formula (3):
- wherein
- Q is a photoreactive linker;
- X is a non-photoreactive linker;
- each R is independently H or methyl;
