In an adhesive bonding apparatus, a mixer mixes a main agent and a hardener together with a stirring blade to form, in a mixing container, an adhesive. A presser causes a second member to face a first member across the adhesive dispensed from the mixing container and adhering to the first member and performs pressing one of the first member or the second member against the other. A detector detects, when the stirring blade mixes the main agent and the hardener together or when the stirring blade re-kneads the formed adhesive, torque of rotation of the stirring blade or a physical quantity representing the torque. A controller controls, based on a value of the torque or the physical quantity detected by the detector, at least one of a magnitude of a force of the pressing or a time length of the pressing performed by the presser.
