Electric work machine

An electric work machine comprising:

• a motor configured to receive electric power from a power supply to thereby be driven;
• a circuit board including a first circuit surface and a second circuit surface opposite the first circuit surface;
• a first semiconductor switch on the first circuit surface, the first semiconductor switch including a first metal surface and a first mount surface, the first semiconductor switch being electrically coupled to the power supply and to the motor, the first mount surface being opposite the first metal surface and facing the first circuit surface;
• a metal plate including a first plate surface joined to the first metal surface and a second plate surface opposite the first plate surface;
• a heat dissipation member in direct or indirect contact with the second plate surface;
• and
• a male screw fastening the heat dissipation member to the metal plate.

A method for assembling a drive unit for driving a motor of an electric work machine, the method comprising:

• mounting a semiconductor switch of the drive unit on a circuit board of the drive unit, the semiconductor switch including a mount surface and a metal surface opposite the mount surface, the mount surface facing the circuit board;
• joining a first plate surface of a metal plate to the metal surface;
• bringing a heat dissipation member into direct or indirect contact with a second plate surface opposite the first plate surface;
• and
• fastening the heat dissipation member to the metal plate with a screw.
