Abstract

The invention discloses a filter element with a positioning characteristic and a filter, wherein the filter element comprises an annular filter medium, a first end cover and a second end cover, the first end cover and the second end cover are connected to the two ends of the annular filter medium, and the annular filter medium is provided with a central cavity which is arranged around the central axis of the central cavity; and an oil return plug is eccentrically arranged on the end face of the first end cover, and is provided with an outward-extending positioning contour which is matched with an internal component of a filter assembly, used to positioning the internal components of the filter assembly, so that when the filter element is installed into the filter assembly, the oil return plug enters and closes the return channel.
