Golf balls including a core and a cover disposed on the core. The cover may be formed from a cover composition. The cover composition may include an isocyanate-containing component, a first isocyanate-reactive component, a second isocyanate-reactive component, and a chain extender. The first isocyanate-reactive component may be a polyether polyol such as polytetramethylene ether glycol. The second isocyanate-reactive component may be a polyphenylene ether polyol such as poly(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene ether) diol. The ratio of the first isocyanate-reactive component to the second isocyanate-reactive component ranges from about 90:10 to about 99:1. The chain extender may be a hydroxy-terminated chain extender or an amino-terminated chain extender.
