Abstract
A device for cancer therapy comprises one or more magnets. The one or more magnets oscillate on a first axis and a second axis substantially orthogonal to the first axis. The device also comprises a controller configured to oscillate the one or more magnets wherein the oscillating frequency reaches a maximum of 50-350 Hz, and, the oscillation of the one or more magnets is at intervals such that the oscillation duration is in a range of 10 milliseconds to 5 seconds, and the duration of an interval between oscillations is in a range of 10 milliseconds to 10 minutes.
Claims26
A device for cancer therapy, comprising:
- one or more magnets, wherein the one or more magnets oscillate on a first axis and a second axis substantially orthogonal to the first axis,
- a controller configured to oscillate the one or more magnets wherein the oscillating frequency reaches a maximum of 50-350 Hz, and, the oscillation of the one or more magnets is at intervals such that the oscillation duration is in a range of 10 milliseconds to 5 seconds, and the duration of an interval between oscillations is in a range of 10 milliseconds to 10 minutes.
A method for disrupting mitochondrial function or inducing apoptosis or cell death in cancer cells in a tissue, the method comprising:
- oscillating one or more magnets wherein the oscillating frequency reaches a maximum of 50-350 Hz, wherein the one or more magnets oscillate on a first axis and a second axis substantially orthogonal to the first axis, and wherein the one or more magnets are in proximity to the tissue such that oscillating magnetic fields are generated within the tissue;
- and,
- oscillating the one or more magnets at intervals such that the oscillation duration is in a range of 10 milliseconds to 5 seconds, and the duration of an interval between oscillations is in a range of 10 milliseconds to 10 minutes.
A device for cancer therapy, comprising:
- one or more magnets, wherein the one or more magnets oscillate on a first axis and a second axis substantially orthogonal to the first axis,
- a controller configured to oscillate the one or more magnets wherein the oscillating frequency reaches a maximum of 50-350 Hz, and, the oscillation of the one or more magnets is at intervals such that the oscillation duration is in a range of from 1 minute to 18 hours, and the duration of an interval between oscillations is in a range of 10 milliseconds to 10 minutes.
