A sole comprises a top plate and a bottom plate, wherein the bottom plate is arranged below the top plate in a forefoot area of the sole and wherein the interface between the top and the bottom plate comprises a clutch to rotatably couple the top plate and the bottom plate and a shoe comprises such a sole.
