Abstract
Beverages composed of pressurized liquids containing dissolved gas that produce a stable foamy phase or a smooth, thick body when released from a container are described herein.
Claims20
A pressurized consumable liquid comprising:
- a consumable liquid having:
- a gas dissolved in the liquid having a concentration of about 0.25 volumes of gas per volume of liquid to about 4.0 volumes of gas per volume of liquid;
- and
- a volume of gas sufficient to produce a headspace pressure of about 10 psi to about 60 psi.

A consumable liquid in a pressurized container comprising:
- a sealed container having an internal cavity;
- and
- a consumable liquid, the consumable liquid at least containing a gas dissolved in the liquid having a concentration of about 0.25 volumes of gas per volume of liquid to about 4.0 volumes of gas per volume of liquid;
- the internal cavity of the sealed container holding about 75% to about 98% by volume of the consumable liquid and about 2% to about 25% by volume headspace;
- the headspace having a headspace pressure of about 20 psi to about 40 psi.

A method for making a consumable liquid in a pressurized container;
- the method comprising:
- filling a container with the consumable liquid;
- introducing a liquefied gas into the consumable liquid, the amount of liquified gas being sufficient to create a headspace pressure of about 10 psi to about 60 psi when the container is sealed;

- sealing the container.
