Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates. A method performed by a PCF entity in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: receiving, from an AF entity, first information for indicating a change in a traffic characteristic; identifying a change in a service flow on the basis of the first information; and transmitting the first information to a UPF entity through a SMF entity.
Claims16
A method performed by a user plane function (UPF) entity in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving, from an application function (AF) entity, first information indicating a traffic change;
- receiving, from a session management function (SMF) entity, second information for identifying the traffic change;
- and
- identifying the traffic change based on the second information.
A method performed by a session management function (SMF) entity in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving, from an policy control function (PCT) entity, a policy and charging control (PCC) rule based on first information indicating a traffic change;
- identifying second information for identifying the traffic change;
- and
- transmitting, to a user plane function (UPF) entity the second information.
A user plane function (UPF) entity in a wireless communication system, the UPF entity comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the transceiver and
- configured to:
- receive, from an application function (AF) entity, first information indicating a traffic change,
- receive, from a session management function (SMF) entity, second information for identifying the traffic change, and
- identify the traffic change based on the second information.
A session management function (SMF) entity in a wireless communication system, the SMF entity comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- at least one processor coupled to the transceiver and
- configured to:
- receive, from an policy control function (PCT) entity, a policy and charging control (PCC) rule based on first information indicating a traffic change,
- identify second information for identifying the traffic change, and
- transmit, to a user plane function (UPF) entity the second information.
