Abstract
A secondary battery includes a case and an electrode assembly accommodated in the case. The electrode assembly includes a first electrode, a separator, and a second electrode. An insulating member is positioned between the electrode assembly and the case. The first electrode includes a pair of first double layers each including a first substrate and a first coating layer disposed on the first substrate, and a first center substrate positioned between the pair of first double layers. The second electrode includes a pair of second double layers each including a second substrate and a second coating layer disposed on the second substrate, and a second center substrate positioned between the pair of second double layers.
Claims20
An secondary battery comprising:
- a case;
- an electrode assembly accommodated in the case, the electrode assembly including a first electrode, a separator, and a second electrode;
- and an insulating member positioned between the electrode assembly and the case,
- wherein the first electrode comprises:
- a pair of first double layers each including a first substrate and a first coating layer disposed on the first substrate;
- and
- a first center substrate positioned between the pair of first double layers, and
- wherein the second electrode comprises:
- a pair of second double layers each including a second substrate and a second coating layer disposed on the second substrate;
- and
- a second center substrate positioned between the pair of second double layers.
A method for manufacturing a secondary battery, the method comprising:
- forming an electrode assembly by stacking a first electrode, a separator, and a second electrode;
- attaching an insulating member to the electrode assembly;
- and
- disposing the electrode assembly with the attached insulating member in a case,
- wherein the first electrode comprises:
- a pair of first double layers each including a first substrate and a first coating layer disposed on the first substrate;
- and
- a first center substrate positioned between the pair of first double layers, and
- wherein the second electrode comprises:
- a pair of second double layers each including a second substrate and a second coating layer disposed on the second substrate;
- and
- a second center substrate positioned between the pair of second double layers.
