Abstract
Systems, apparatus and methods for automatically testing security alarm devices are disclosed according to various embodiments. In one example, a disclosed system comprises: a plurality of test chambers coupled on a frame, wherein each of the test chambers is configured to house a corresponding one of a plurality of security alarm devices to be tested; and a test computer coupled to the frame, wherein the computer has a processor and a non-transitory computer readable storage medium for automatically testing the plurality of security alarm devices at the same time using a test software, wherein each of the plurality of security alarm devices is connected to the test computer.
Claims20
A method of testing an electronic device, comprising:
- scanning a unique identifier of one of a plurality of test chambers into a test computer of a test system;
- scanning an identity code of the electronic device into the test computer;
- automatically associating the scanned unique identifier with the scanned identity code;
- placing the electronic device into the one of the plurality of test chambers;
- and
- automatically testing the electronic device.
A method of testing, comprising:
- providing a plurality of electronic devices into a corresponding one of a plurality of radio frequency (RF) shielded cabinets;
- operably connecting a test computer to a terminal of each of the plurality of RF shielded cabinets;
- scanning a unique identifier associated with each of the plurality of RF shielded cabinets and an identity code of the corresponding electronic device into the test computer;
- by the test computer, sending a signal to the plurality of RF shielded cabinets to test the plurality of electronic devices based on the associated identity code.
A method of testing a motion sensor, comprising:
- pairing the motion sensor to a base station;
- connecting the motion sensor to an online application associated with the motion sensor;
- by a test computer, capturing a serial number of the motion sensor and saving account details it was registered to in the online application;
- performing a motion test;
- and
- removing the motion sensor from the base station.
