Abstract
A method for detecting an immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12, in a subject, a diagnostic drug containing a substance that specifically interacts with MMP12, and a therapeutic agent containing an MMP12 inhibitory substance.
Claims19
A method for detecting an immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12, in a subject, wherein the immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12 is selected from the group consisting of vasculitis syndrome, granulomatous vasculitis, IgG4 related disease, inflammatory bowel disease, sarcoidosis, tuberculous mycobacterial infection, and nontuberculous mycobacterial infection,
- the method comprising
- measuring a level of an MMP12 protein in a biological sample obtained from the subject.
A diagnostic biomarker for an immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12, comprising MMP12, wherein the immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12 is selected from the group consisting of vasculitis syndrome, granulomatous vasculitis, IgG4 related disease, inflammatory bowel disease, sarcoidosis, tuberculous mycobacterial infection, and nontuberculous mycobacterial infection.
A diagnostic drug for an immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12, containing a substance that specifically interacts with MMP12, wherein the immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12 is selected from the group consisting of vasculitis syndrome, granulomatous vasculitis, IgG4 related disease, inflammatory bowel disease, sarcoidosis, tuberculous mycobacterial infection, and nontuberculous mycobacterial infection.
A diagnostic kit for diagnosing an immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12, wherein the immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12 is selected from the group consisting of vasculitis syndrome, granulomatous vasculitis, IgG4 related disease, inflammatory bowel disease, sarcoidosis, tuberculous mycobacterial infection, and nontuberculous mycobacterial infection, the diagnostic kit comprising a substance that specifically interacts with an MMP12 protein.
A method for screening for a substance effective for treatment for an immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12, wherein the immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12 is selected from the group consisting of vasculitis syndrome, granulomatous vasculitis, IgG4 related disease, inflammatory bowel disease, sarcoidosis, tuberculous mycobacterial infection, and nontuberculous mycobacterial infection, the method comprising:
- measuring a level of an MMP12 protein in a biological sample obtained from a subject after administration of a test substance;
- and
- if the level of the MMP12 protein is decreased due to the administration of the test substance, selecting the test substance as a candidate substance effective for treatment for the immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12.
A therapeutic agent for an immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12, wherein the immune-mediated inflammatory disease characterized by an increase in expression of MMP12 is selected from the group consisting of vasculitis syndrome, granulomatous vasculitis, IgG4 related disease, inflammatory bowel disease, sarcoidosis, tuberculous mycobacterial infection, and nontuberculous mycobacterial infection, the therapeutic agent containing an MMP12 inhibitory substance.
