Claims16
A repair kit for securing a fuel pump to a fuel tank, the repair kit comprising:
- a ring having a top surface opposite a bottom surface, the top surface and the bottom surface extending between an outer edge and an inner edge, the bottom surface being planar in shape between the outer edge and the inner edge, the inner edge defining an aperture that receives a portion of the fuel pump, at least a portion of the fuel pump in communication with at least a portion of the inner edge or at least a portion of the fuel pump in communication the bottom surface of the ring, a plurality of through bores extending from the top surface to the bottom surface;
- and
- a plurality of fasteners having threads that extend through the respective one of the plurality of through bores to pierce into an outer surface of the fuel tank such that the plurality of fasteners secure the ring to the fuel tank,
- wherein at least a portion of the ring directly contacts the outer surface of the fuel tank.
A repair kit for securing a fuel pump to a fuel tank having an outer surface, the repair kit comprising:
- a ring having a top surface and an opposite bottom surface, the top surface and the bottom surface extending between an outer edge and an inner edge, the bottom surface being planar in shape between the outer edge and the inner edge, the inner edge defining an aperture, a portion of the bottom surface in communication with a portion of the fuel pump, a plurality of through bores extending from the top surface to the bottom surface;
- and
- a plurality of fasteners having threads that extend through the through bores and pierce the fuel tank,
- wherein the plurality of fasteners secure the ring to the fuel tank such that at least a portion of the bottom surface of the ring contacts the outer surface of the fuel tank adjacent to the plurality of through bores.
