The window security system can include a connector hingedly coupling the frame assembly to a window frame of the window. The window security system can include a housing defined within a segment of the frame assembly. The housing can include a lock having an actuator coupled to a bolt. The lock can couple the frame assembly to the window frame in a locked position, where the actuator can drive the bolt into a recess defined in the window frame to position the member for protecting the window.
