Abstract
Systems and methods for verifying the quality of patient specific implants are disclosed. A system can generate implant data, such as design files or fabrication instructions, for manufacturing the implant. The system can manage access to the implant data based on authentication levels. Based on the determined authentication level of the user requesting access to the implant data, the system can permit the user to access some or all of the implant data. The system can perform a quality check on a manufactured implant by scanning the manufactured implant to identify any errors in the manufactured implant.

A computer-implemented method for approving a patient-specific orthopedic implant, the method comprising:
- obtaining one or more digital images of a patient-specific orthopedic implant;
- analyzing the one or more digital images to identify at least one non-conforming feature of the patient-specific orthopedic implant;
- determining whether the identified at least one non-conforming feature meets a non-conformity risk threshold for implanting the patient-specific orthopedic implant in a patient;
- and
- in response to determining the identified at least one non-conforming feature meets the non-conformity risk threshold,
- generating a non-conformity report for the patient-specific orthopedic implant, wherein the non-conformity report includes virtual model data for evaluating fitting of a virtual model of the patient-specific orthopedic implant with one or more anatomical features of the patient.
A system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- one or more memories storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to perform a process comprising:
- obtaining one or more digital images of a patient-specific orthopedic implant;
- analyzing the one or more digital images to identify at least one non-conforming feature of the patient-specific orthopedic implant;
- determining whether the identified at least one non-conforming feature meets a non-conformity risk threshold for implanting the patient-specific orthopedic implant in a patient;
- and
- in response to determining the identified at least one non-conforming feature meets the non-conformity risk threshold,
- generating a non-conformity report for the patient-specific orthopedic implant, wherein the non-conformity report includes virtual model data for evaluating fitting of a virtual model of the patient-specific orthopedic implant with one or more anatomical features of the patient.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a computing system, cause the computing system to perform operations for approving a patient-specific orthopedic implant, the operations comprising:
- obtaining one or more digital images of a patient-specific orthopedic implant;
- analyzing the one or more digital images to identify at least one non-conforming feature of the patient-specific orthopedic implant;
- determining whether the identified at least one non-conforming feature meets a non-conformity risk threshold for implanting the patient-specific orthopedic implant in a patient;
- and
- in response to determining the identified at least one non-conforming feature meets the non-conformity risk threshold,
- generating a non-conformity report for the patient-specific orthopedic implant, wherein the non-conformity report includes virtual model data for evaluating fitting of a virtual model of the patient-specific orthopedic implant with one or more anatomical features of the patient.
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- sending, from a computer system, a request for manufacturing a patient-specific orthopedic implant, wherein the request is associated with a subscription for manufacturing implants by a user;
- sending authentication information associated with the subscription to an authentication manager;
- and
- receiving manufacturing data for manufacturing the patient-specific orthopedic implant according to the subscription.
