Abstract
Some aspects of the disclosure provide a method of video decoding. In an example, a coded video bitstream is received. The coded video bitstream includes coded information of one or more frames, the coded information of the one or more frames is encapsulated in open bitstream units (OBUs) that are structured into one or more layers. From the coded video bitstream, at least a first layer parameter set is parsed. The first layer parameter set includes a first set of syntax elements for coding first open bitstream units of a first layer in the one or more layers, the first set of syntax elements includes a first identifier identifying the first layer parameter set.
Claims20
A method of video decoding, comprising:
- receiving a coded video bitstream comprising coded information of one or more frames, the coded information of the one or more frames being encapsulated in open bitstream units (OBUs) that are structured into one or more layers;
- and
- parsing, from the coded video bitstream, at least a first layer parameter set that comprises a first set of syntax elements for coding first open bitstream units of a first layer in the one or more layers, the first set of syntax elements comprising a first identifier identifying the first layer parameter set.
A method of video encoding, comprising:
- encoding one or more frames into coded information in a bitstream, the coded information of the one or more frames being encapsulated in open bitstream units (OBUs) that are structured into one or more layers, first coded information in first open bitstream units of a first layer in the one or more layers being encoded according to a first layer parameter set;
- and
- encoding the first layer parameter set in the bitstream, the first layer parameter set comprising a first set of syntax elements for coding the first open bitstream units of the first layer, the first layer parameter set comprising a first identifier identifying the first layer parameter set.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions which when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform an encoding method, the encoding method comprising:
- encoding one or more frames into coded information in a bitstream, the coded information of the one or more frames being encapsulated in open bitstream units (OBUs) that are structured into one or more layers, first open bitstream units of a first layer in the one or more layers being encoded according to a first layer parameter set;
- encoding the first layer parameter set in the bitstream, the first layer parameter set comprising a first set of syntax elements for coding the first open bitstream units of the first layer, the first layer parameter set comprising a first identifier identifying the first layer parameter set;
- and
- transmitting the bitstream.
