Abstract
A connector includes a first insulator having a first support surface, a second insulator having a second support surface, a contact member held by the second insulator and having a contact portion exposed at the second support surface, and a hold mechanism holding the contact portion toward the first support surface, the first insulator having a first through hole penetrating the first insulator from the first support surface to a bottom surface of the first insulator at a position corresponding to the contact portion, the hold mechanism having a boss passing through the first through hole to a bottom surface side of the first insulator and holding the contact portion toward the first support surface by use of the boss.
Claims9
A connector comprising:
- a first insulator having, on its top surface, a first support surface extending in a predetermined direction;
- a second insulator disposed in a stacking direction perpendicular to the predetermined direction with respect to the first insulator and having a second support surface that faces the first support surface;
- a contact member held by the second insulator and having a contact portion exposed at the second support surface;
- and
- a hold mechanism configured to hold the contact portion toward the first support surface,
- wherein the first insulator has a first through hole penetrating the first insulator in the stacking direction from the first support surface to a bottom surface of the first insulator at a position corresponding to the contact portion,
- the hold mechanism has a boss passing through the first through hole to a bottom surface side of the first insulator and holds the contact portion toward the first support surface by use of the boss, and
- a part of a sheet type connection object, a conductive portion of which is exposed toward the second support surface, is sandwiched between the first support surface and the second support surface, and the contact portion makes contact with the conductive portion, whereby the contact member is electrically connected to the conductive portion.
