Vehicle interface for deployable accessories

A method for performing an automated task using a deployable vehicle, the method comprising:

• deploying the deployable vehicle from a deployable vehicle base coupled to a vehicle;
• receiving, by the deployable vehicle, a vehicle location of the vehicle from the deployable vehicle base;
• detecting, by the deployable vehicle, location beacons on the vehicle;
• determining, by the deployable vehicle, a location of the deployable vehicle using the location beacons and based on the vehicle location;
• and
• performing, by the deployable vehicle, an automated task using the location of the deployable vehicle.

A vehicle system comprising:

• a vehicle including:
• a chassis;
• a prime mover;
• a deployable vehicle interface configured to facilitate communicating with a deployable vehicle accessory system;
• and
• at least one processing circuit having at least one processor and at least one memory having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to:
• detect a deployment indication;
• and
• cause a deployable vehicle of the deployable vehicle accessory system to deploy from the vehicle to autonomously perform a task responsive to the deployment indication.
