Abstract
An apparatus configured to detect one or more mobile networking devices, nodes, apparatus, etc. within a given area, wherein if the concentration of the mobile networking devices exceeds a predefined threshold in the area, the area is labeled as a mobile networking device concentration area. Subsequently detected networking devices within the predefined area may then be flagged for closer examination and/or more readily labeled as a mobile networking device.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- detecting the location of at least one mobile networking apparatus;
- referencing a geographic database and identifying at least one predefined area within which the location of the respective mobile networking apparatus is detected;
- detecting the total number of networking apparatus within the at least one predefined area;
- comparing the number of mobile networking apparatus detections within the predefined area with the total number of networking apparatus detections for the predefined area;
- and
- labeling the predefined area as a mobile networking apparatus concentration area if the ratio of number of mobile networking apparatus detections to total number of networking apparatus detections exceeds a predefined threshold.
