A fireplace enclosure is an apparatus that enables the restoration of an existing wood-burning fireplace by providing a clean surface that enables the installation of gas logs in the existing wood-burning fireplace. The apparatus preferably includes a first lateral panel, a second lateral panel, a bottom panel, and an arc-shaped panel. The first lateral panel and the second lateral panel correspond to the sections of the apparatus that cover the lateral walls of the existing fireplace. The bottom panel corresponds to the section of the apparatus that covers the bottom wall of the existing fireplace. The arc-shaped panel corresponds to the section of the apparatus that covers the back wall of the existing fireplace. In addition, the arc-shaped panel increases the structural strength of the apparatus by providing rigidity to the overall structure.
