Abstract
A hydraulic excavator as a work machine includes a controller, an operation portion on which an operator rides to operate a machine body, and a hood member that covers a portion of the machine body. The operation portion is installed on a first lateral side of the machine body, the hood member is disposed on a second lateral side of the machine body, and the controller is disposed between the operation portion and the hood member.

A work machine, comprising:
- a controller;
- an operation portion on which an operator rides and operates a machine body;
- and
- a hood member that covers a portion of the machine body, wherein
- the operation portion is installed on a first lateral side of the machine body,
- the hood member is disposed on a second lateral side of the machine body, and
- the controller is disposed between the operation portion and the hood member.
