Abstract
A tool attachment for cleaning wheel hub components, comprises a tool body having a drive end, and a cleaning end. The cleaning end comprises a lug receiving opening extending into the tool body from an axial end thereof, and an axial end face. Moreover, a brush strip is positioned in an interior surface of a chamber within the cleaning end of the tool body. In some embodiments, the brush strip is replaceable. Further, the tool attachment includes an abrasive disk having an aperture therethrough that aligns with the lug receiving opening. In this regard, the abrasive disk attaches to the axial end face of the tool body. In some embodiments, the abrasive disk is replaceable.
Claims10
A device that detachably secures to fasteners having fastener heads, the device comprising:
- an abrasive disk holder comprising:
- a first major face that is substantially flat and circular;
- a second major face that is substantially flat and circular;
- locking slots located on the first major face, each locking slot comprising:
- a receiving aperture for receiving a corresponding fastener head of a corresponding fastener;
- a receiving channel through which the corresponding fastener head moves, thereby securing the abrasive disk holder;
- and
- a circular aperture through the abrasive disk holder, the circular aperture extending from the first major face to the second major face, the circular aperture comprising dimensions that correspond to a lug;
- and
- an abrasive disk securely adhered to the abrasive disk holder, the abrasive disk comprising:
- an adhering side that is substantially flat and circular, the adhering side for adhering the abrasive disk to the second major face of the abrasive disk holder;
- an abrasive side that is substantially flat and circular;
- and
- a circular hole through the abrasive disk, the circular hole being smaller in size than the circular aperture through the abrasive disk holder, the circular hole corresponding to the circular aperture through the abrasive disk holder, the circular hole extending from the adhering side to the abrasive side, the circular hole comprising the dimensions that correspond to the lug.
A device comprising:
- an abrasive disk holder comprising:
- locking slots, each locking slot comprising:
- a receiving aperture for receiving a corresponding fastener head of a corresponding fastener;
- a receiving channel through which the corresponding fastener head moves, thereby securing the abrasive disk holder;
- and
- a circular aperture through the abrasive disk holder, the circular aperture comprising dimensions that correspond to a lug;
- and
- an abrasive disk secured to the abrasive disk holder, the abrasive disk comprising a circular hole through the abrasive disk, the circular hole corresponding to the circular aperture through the abrasive disk holder.
A device comprising:
- an abrasive disk holder comprising:
- locking slots, each locking slot comprising:
- a receiving aperture for receiving a corresponding fastener head of a corresponding fastener;
- a receiving channel through which the corresponding fastener head moves, thereby securing the abrasive disk holder;
- and
- an aperture through the abrasive disk holder, the aperture comprising dimensions that correspond to a lug, the aperture being configured to align with the lug;
- an abrasive disk secured to the abrasive disk holder, the abrasive disk for cleaning a wheel hub, the abrasive disk comprising a circular hole through the abrasive disk, the circular hole corresponding to the circular aperture through the abrasive disk holder.
