Abstract

[Problem] A monitoring device is provided which can improve the sensitivity in detection of particles to be monitored included in treated water obtained by a wastewater treatment. [Solution] A monitoring device 4 includes a branch pipe 402 branched from a pipe 401 for guiding the treated water obtained by the wastewater treatment, a membrane sensor 45 having a filtration membrane set in a direction crossing the flow of the treated water flowing through the branch pipe 402, and for filtrating the treated water, and a pressure sensor 46 for measuring the differential pressure between the first pressure of the treated water on the upstream side of the membrane sensor 45 and the second pressure of the treated water on the downstream side of the membrane sensor 45. The filtration membrane has a smaller pore size than that of the particle to be monitored.
