Abstract
An implant assembly for introducing and positioning implants within patients may comprise an implant device, an implant, and a sheath. The implant device may include a head, an upper beam, a lower beam, and an implant positioning component. The implant may be disposed between the upper beam and the lower beam and may include a first face engaged with the upper beam and a second face engaged with the lower beam. Additionally, the implant may be at least partially disposed around the implant positioning component. The sheath may be disposed around the implant positioning device and the implant.
Claims20
An implant delivery assembly for delivering a sheet-like implant, the assembly comprising:
- a handle;
- an elongate shaft extending distally from the handle;
- an implant retainer positioned at a distal end of the elongate shaft, the implant retainer including an upper beam and a lower beam;
- a sheet-like implant disposed between the upper beam and the lower beam;
- and
- a sheath selectively coupleable to the distal end of the elongate shaft, the sheath configured to be disposed around the implant retainer and the sheet-like implant with the sheet-like implant in a rolled configuration when the sheath is coupled to the distal end of the elongate shaft;
- wherein the sheet-like implant is deployable from a distal end of the sheath and transitions to a flat configuration for placement at a treatment site.
An implant delivery assembly for delivering a sheet-like implant, the assembly comprising:
- a handle;
- an elongate shaft extending distally from the handle, the elongate shaft including an outer shaft and an inner shaft extending through the outer shaft;
- an implant retainer coupled to a distal end of the inner shaft;
- a sheet-like implant releasably retained by the implant retainer;
- and
- a sheath selectively coupleable to a distal end of the outer shaft, the sheath configured to be disposed around the implant retainer and the sheet-like implant with the sheet-like implant in a rolled configuration when the sheath is coupled to the distal end of the outer shaft;
- wherein the sheet-like implant is deployable from a distal end of the sheath and transitions to a flat configuration for placement at a treatment site.
An implant delivery assembly for delivering a sheet-like implant, the assembly comprising:
- a handle;
- an elongate shaft extending distally from the handle, the elongate shaft including an outer shaft and an inner shaft extending through the outer shaft;
- an implant retainer coupled to a distal end of the inner shaft;
- a sheet-like implant releasably retained by the implant retainer;
- and
- a sheath including an engagement head configured to selectively engage with a distal end of the outer shaft when coupled to the distal end of the outer shaft, the sheath configured to be disposed around the implant retainer and the sheet-like implant with the sheet-like implant in a rolled configuration when the sheath is coupled to the distal end of the outer shaft;
- wherein the sheath is retractable proximally relative to the implant retainer to deploy the sheet-like implant from a distal end of the sheath.
