Wristband clasp and wristband assembly

A wristband assembly comprising:

• a base of a clasp;
• a first end of a fabric wristband positioned on the base;
• a second end of the fabric wristband positioned on the first end of the fabric wristband;
• a button of the clasp positioned on the second end of the fabric wristband, wherein the button is movable from a first position, in which the button is coupled to the base, to a second position, in which the button is displaced towards the base and the first and second ends of the wristband are compressed and distorted within the clasp,
• wherein the clasp includes a spike extending from the button toward the base, wherein the spike pierces through the first and second ends of the fabric wristband when the button is in the second position.

A wristband assembly comprising:

• a wristband having a substantially rectangular cross-section;
• and
• a clasp having a base and a button positioned above the base, the button and base surrounding at least a portion of the wristband, the button including a first spike and a first boss extending downward toward the base, the base having a second spike and a second boss extending upward toward the button,
• wherein the first and second spikes cooperate to form a pinch point along a width of the wristband, distorting the substantially rectangular cross-section of the wristband and preventing movement of the wristband relative to the clasp, and
• wherein the first and second bosses cooperate to form a pinch point along a length of the wristband, distorting the wristband in a plane perpendicular to the distortion along the width of the wristband.
