Abstract
A document reading device includes a pick-up roller, a sensor, an operation section, and a sheet feeding controller. The pick-up roller draws out a plurality of sheets one by one from a sheet table on which the plurality of sheets are loaded. The sensor detects presence or absence of the sheet. The operation section receives an operation of a user. The sheet feeding controller controls drive to raise the pick-up roller on the basis of a detection result of the sensor and an operation instruction from the operation section.

A document reading device, comprising:
- a pick-up roller that draws out a plurality of sheets one by one from a sheet table on which the plurality of sheets are loaded;
- a sensor that detects presence or absence of the sheet;
- an operation section that receives an operation of a user;
- and
- a sheet feeding controller that controls drive to raise the pick-up roller on a basis of a detection result of the sensor and an operation instruction from the operation section.
